Recently I came across an idea that the jet engine of an aircraft is similar to that of a hair dryer. Is the jet engine really that simple? An air intake that pumps in air and oxygen into the combustion chamber that ignites the fuel and oxygen and air mixture to pump out thrust from the rear of the combustion chamber to propel the engine and vehicle forward. How about the hair dryer? It certainly does look similar with a fan that blows hot air onto the hair and propels out hot air. Perhaps if placed onto a small car or small model of a vehicle, it may propel the vehicle forward. An idea from Junt Hoong Chan MIET MIEEE CEng. Thank you.
