Recently I came across an idea that the jet engine of an aircraft is similar to that of a hair dryer. Is the jet engine really that simple? An air intake that pumps in air and oxygen into the combustion chamber that ignites the fuel and oxygen and air mixture to pump out thrust from the rear of the combustion chamber to propel the engine and vehicle forward. How about the hair dryer? It certainly does look similar with a fan that blows hot air onto the hair and propels out hot air.
